Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Approves 2027 Budget of 93.8 Billion Baht
The Bangkok Metropolitan Council has passed the 2027 fiscal budget, totaling over 93.8 billion baht, with significant allocations for central funds and infrastructure.
On September 15, 2026, the Bangkok Metropolitan Council officially approved the draft budget for the 2027 fiscal year, amounting to 93,879,663,440 baht. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, Kanokwan Eamlim, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), confirmed that the legislative process is now moving toward the final signature by Governor Chadchart Sittipunt. Once signed, the budget is scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2027.
The approved financial plan includes a substantial 'central fund' allocation of 17 billion baht. Additionally, sectors focused on public works, traffic, and transportation have been allocated no less than 8 billion baht.
