Police have apprehended a suspect who robbed a gold shop in Sam Khok, Pathum Thani, using a fake firearm. All 52 stolen gold necklaces were recovered.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, local authorities have arrested a suspect involved in a gold heist at the Bangkok Gold Yaowarat branch in Sam Khok, Pathum Thani. The incident, which occurred on the afternoon of September 13, 2026, involved a lone perpetrator who allegedly used a fake firearm to steal 52 gold necklaces valued at approximately 3.5 million baht. The entire robbery was reportedly completed in just two minutes.
Following the incident, police tracked the suspect’s escape route using CCTV footage, noting that the individual utilized a motorcycle taxi to flee the scene. The suspect was eventually located and arrested at a residence near Wat Prem Prachakorn in the Bang Phun sub-district. Authorities confirmed that all 52 stolen gold necklaces were recovered in full.
