Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has announced that Thailand will be the first market to receive the fifth-generation Pajero SUV on October 19.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is reviving its legendary Pajero SUV, a vehicle historically recognized for its 12 victories in the Paris-Dakar Rally. The company has officially selected Thailand as the first country to launch the fifth-generation model and reveal its pricing, with the event scheduled for October 19, 2026.
The new Pajero is built under the design concept of 'Grand Charisma-Calm and Composed,' aiming to blend premium luxury with the rugged performance associated with the brand's heritage. The exterior design incorporates horizontal lines inspired by the original Pajero, updated for a contemporary aesthetic, while the front fascia draws influence from the Japanese martial art of Kendo. Customers will have the option of two grille styles: a horizontal design emphasizing Japanese craftsmanship or a honeycomb pattern focused on functional aesthetics. The vehicle also features signature T-shaped headlights and a redesigned interior console.
For residents and travelers in Thailand, this launch marks the return of a significant automotive nameplate to the local market.
