Rescue Team Saves Stray Dog Trapped in Nakhon Nayok River

On September 15, 2026, rescue workers from the Sarika Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Nakhon Nayok province conducted a daring operation to save a stray dog. According to a report by Khaosod Online, local residents spotted the thin, brown dog stranded on a pile of debris that had been swept downriver by strong currents and become lodged against a bridge pier in the Sarika subdistrict.
Fearing the debris pile might break apart under the pressure of the water, rescuers rappelled from the bridge to reach the animal. The dog, which appeared frightened and wary, required approximately 30 minutes of careful coaxing by the team. Eventually, rescuers managed to secure the dog and lift it to safety in a basket. Once back on the bridge, the dog immediately jumped out and ran away.
For residents and travelers in the area, this incident highlights the unpredictable nature of river currents during the rainy season, which can pose risks to both animals and people. While the dog was successfully rescued, the exact origin of the stray and its current whereabouts remain unconfirmed.
