One Bangkok Retail Marks Second Anniversary with Growth and New Attractions
One Bangkok Retail celebrates two years of operation, reporting over 40 million annual visitors and plans for new retail additions.
As reported by Khaosod Online Thailand on September 15, 2026, the One Bangkok retail district is celebrating its second anniversary. Palinee Kongchansiri, CEO of Retail at One Bangkok, announced that the project has reached its performance targets, welcoming over 40 million visitors annually. This represents a 30% increase in foot traffic compared to the first year, with an average of 110,000 daily visitors.
For travelers and residents, this growth highlights the district's rising status as a major urban destination. The retail space currently maintains a 96% occupancy rate, which is projected to reach 98% by the end of 2026. Furthermore, total retail sales have reportedly grown by more than 50% year-on-year.
To sustain this momentum, the district plans to introduce new attractions this October. Confirmed additions include the Tsutaya Bookstore, the street-wear fashion brand Edikted, and the indoor playground HarborLand Island. These developments are intended to solidify One Bangkok’s position as a key commercial hub in the capital. While the project has demonstrated significant growth in visitor numbers and sales, the long-term impact of these new retail additions on overall visitor experience remains to be seen as the district continues to expand its commercial footprint.
