Thai Government Considers Extending 'Thai Chuay Thai Plus' Stimulus

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Supajee Suthumpun announced that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has requested the Ministry of Finance to assess the feasibility of extending the 'Thai Chuay Thai Plus' program for approximately two months.

This initiative is being considered as a response to rising economic risks, specifically citing geopolitical tensions, potential disruptions to maritime chokepoints, and the upward trend in global oil prices. The government aims to provide a buffer for the economy and the public during this period. The Ministry of Finance is currently tasked with determining the appropriate structure for the extension and identifying the necessary funding sources, while ensuring the measures remain within budgetary constraints.
