At the Gastech 2026 event, Thai energy company Banpu presented its integrated energy platform currently operating in the United States. According to Prachachat Business, the company is positioning itself to support U.S. energy security through a model described as 'U.S. Closed-Loop Gas.'
Banpu’s strategy encompasses the entire energy value chain, ranging from upstream natural gas production and midstream infrastructure to the operation of 1.5 gigawatts of gas-fired power plants. Furthermore, the company is incorporating Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technologies alongside the production of carbon-sequestered gas to meet rising demand for both electricity and natural gas.
