CJ Mall Targets 2029 IPO Amid International Exchange Interest

Retail operator CJ Mall is preparing for an initial public offering by 2029, supported by expansion plans and interest from global stock exchanges.

According to a report by Prachachat Business, CJ Mall is accelerating its business strategy with the goal of launching an initial public offering (IPO) by 2029. Sathien Sathientham, CEO and co-founder of Carabao Group, indicated that the company is currently in discussions with several international stock exchanges, including NASDAQ, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and the Singapore Exchange (SGX), all of which have expressed interest in the listing.

As part of its growth roadmap, the company aims to expand its retail footprint to 5,000 branches and reach an annual revenue target of 100 billion baht by the same year. For residents and frequent visitors to Thailand, this expansion suggests a significant increase in the availability of CJ Mall retail outlets across the country, potentially altering the local retail landscape.

While the company has set ambitious financial and operational targets, the final decision regarding the specific exchange for the IPO remains to be confirmed. Furthermore, the realization of these growth milestones depends on the company's ability to successfully execute its aggressive branch expansion strategy over the next few years.
