According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, IOC member and OCA advisory committee member Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul has provided details regarding the 20th Asian Games, scheduled to take place in Japan. The event will officially run from September 19 to October 4, 2026, centered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture.
Organizers are preparing for a total of 20,580 participants from 45 nations, comprising 11,000 athletes, 5,780 team officials, and 3,800 technical staff. The games will feature 43 sports disciplines, with 469 gold medals up for grabs. While some sporting events are scheduled to begin in advance, the official competition period remains fixed for the aforementioned dates.
