Thailand and U.S. Partner on Small Modular Reactor Feasibility Study
The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) have signed an agreement to study the viability of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has entered into a partnership with the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to conduct a preliminary feasibility study on Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology. This initiative aims to explore advanced nuclear energy as a potential solution to bolster Thailand's power grid stability in response to rising electricity demand and national clean energy objectives.
