Fatal Car Accident on Mittraphap Road
A 66-year-old man died after his vehicle veered into a median ditch on Mittraphap Road in Pak Chong.
On September 15, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred on Mittraphap Road, near the Khao Yai interchange in Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, a 66-year-old man identified as Mr. Papawin was driving a Honda Civic toward Nakhon Ratchasima when the vehicle lost control, launched into a median ditch over two meters deep, and sustained severe damage.
Local authorities, including the Pak Chong Police Station and rescue teams, arrived at the scene to find the driver’s body outside the vehicle. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. Furthermore, it was noted that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt, which likely contributed to him being ejected from the car during the impact. The body was transported to Pak Chong Nana Hospital for further examination.
