Yuri Nakamura, a Japanese-born Korean actress, has died at age 44 following a battle with colorectal cancer.
According to reports from Khaosod Online Thailand, citing Japanese and Korean media, actress Yuri Nakamura has passed away at the age of 44. Her agency, Alpha Agency, confirmed that she died on September 1, 2026, due to complications from colorectal cancer.
Nakamura’s medical history included a previous cancer diagnosis 13 years ago, from which she had recovered. However, the cancer returned in January 2025. Despite undergoing surgery and continuing to work while receiving treatment, the cancer eventually metastasized. In August 2026, while preparing for a new project, she suffered from an intestinal obstruction and was informed that her condition was terminal. Consequently, she withdrew from her lead role in the upcoming drama 'Dangerous.'
