Drug Bust in Pattaya Leads to Arrest of Couple
Chonburi police arrested a woman in Pattaya with 2kg of crystal methamphetamine, leading to the subsequent arrest of her boyfriend in Bangkok.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Chonburi provincial police conducted a sting operation on September 14, 2026, targeting drug distribution networks in tourist areas. Officers arranged to purchase 2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine for 200,000 baht from a dealer using the Line application alias 'Moo Pa.'
The transaction was scheduled at a cafe within a gas station in North Pattaya, Chonburi. Upon the arrival of a red Toyota Yaris, police apprehended a female suspect in possession of the narcotics. Following this initial arrest, investigators expanded their operation to Bangkok, where they successfully apprehended the woman's boyfriend. During the follow-up search, authorities reportedly discovered a significant quantity of ketamine.
