According to a report from Prachachat Business citing market research firm Gartner, the global semiconductor industry is poised for significant growth. Ben Lee, a director of analysis at Gartner, projects that total global revenue for the sector will reach 53 trillion baht in 2026. This figure represents a 92% increase compared to the previous year.
This projected growth is largely attributed to the continuous and rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure worldwide. As companies and nations invest heavily in the hardware required to support AI technologies, the demand for semiconductors has surged, positioning the industry as a primary beneficiary of the current AI boom.
