According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Election Commission (EC) of Thailand has officially dismissed a petition filed against 21 politicians from the Bhumjaithai Party. EC Chairman Narong Klanwarin explained that the decision was primarily based on the unreliability of the 16th witness, who had previously been sentenced to imprisonment by a court.
Narong, who noted his 38 years of experience in the field, emphasized that he has frequently encountered witnesses who retract or alter their testimonies. Furthermore, the investigation found no evidence of financial trails connecting the alleged irregularities to key party figures, including Newin Chidchob and Anutin Charnvirakul.
