AirAsia Launches 'Points Booking' Feature with 50% Rebate Promotion
AirAsia rewards has introduced a new points-based booking system allowing members to redeem flights with fixed point values, accompanied by a limited-time 50% rebate offer.
On September 14, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that AirAsia rewards, the loyalty program under Capital A, has launched a new feature called 'Points Booking.' This system allows members to redeem AirAsia points for flights using a fixed point structure based on specific routes, rather than the traditional method where point requirements fluctuate according to current ticket prices.
For travelers and residents, this update offers more predictability when planning trips, as the point cost is no longer tied to real-time fare volatility. To utilize this feature, members must book their flights at least 30 days in advance. The system is applicable to all routes and all flights operated by the airline.
To celebrate the launch, AirAsia rewards is offering a promotional rebate of 50% on points used for bookings made between September 7, 2026, and September 30, 2026.
While the feature is now active, travelers should note that the 50% rebate promotion is time-limited. It remains to be confirmed how the fixed point values for specific routes will be adjusted in the future or if the airline will introduce further promotional incentives beyond the current launch period. Members are encouraged to check the official AirAsia rewards platform for specific point requirements per route.
