15-Year-Old Alaskan Survivor Rescued After 62 Hours at Sea
A 15-year-old American boy survived over two days adrift in the Bering Sea after his skiff capsized, though his brother and cousin remain missing.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a 15-year-old boy from Alaska, identified as Derek Parker Ag-na-anga, was rescued after spending 62 hours adrift in the Bering Sea. The incident occurred after the small skiff he was traveling in with his brother and cousin capsized near St. Lawrence Island on September 4.
Ag-na-anga was discovered on September 7 after rescue teams were alerted when the group failed to return home as scheduled. Upon his rescue, the teenager was suffering from hypothermia, having survived without food or water in sea temperatures of approximately 10 degrees Celsius. Tragically, the survivor reported witnessing his brother and cousin drown following the capsizing.
