According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a fatal traffic accident occurred on September 13, 2026, near the Ban Khlong Krachang U-turn in the Khlong Krachang sub-district of Si Thep, Phetchabun. Local rescue services were notified at approximately 4:30 PM regarding a collision between a pickup truck and an 8-year-old boy.
Witnesses stated that the child had been playing with a ball at a friend's house before running onto the road to retrieve it. The driver of the black pickup truck, bearing a Chiang Mai license plate, was unable to stop in time, resulting in a collision that proved fatal for the child. Dashcam footage reportedly captured the incident, showing the impact that caused the child to strike a roadside distance marker.
