Ayutthaya Municipality Suspends Teacher Following Allegations of Student Abuse
A music teacher in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya has been suspended from duty following accusations of physical assault and intimidation against four students.
On September 14, 2026, authorities in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya announced the immediate suspension of a music teacher employed at a municipal school. The action follows a formal complaint filed at the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Police Station by parents and four male students, supported by local representatives.
According to reports from Khaosod Online, the students alleged that the teacher physically assaulted them—including kicking and pressing their heads—and used a knife to intimidate them after they failed to participate in a school sports event. In response to the allegations, the Mayor of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Dr. Somsong Sappakosolkul, convened a meeting with educational administrators to address the incident. The municipality has issued an apology to the affected families and initiated a fact-finding committee to investigate the matter.
