A fire at Ban Phaeo Hospital in Samut Sakhon caused an estimated 27 million baht in damages, though structural integrity remains intact.
On the night of September 13, 2026, a fire broke out at the five-story Chalerm Phra Kiat building of Ban Phaeo Hospital (Public Organization) in Samut Sakhon province. According to Khaosod Online, officials including Deputy Governor Damrongsak Yodthongdee and hospital director Dr. Saowanee Kerd-donfaek inspected the site on the morning of September 14.
Preliminary investigations suggest the blaze originated at the physical therapy center’s service counter on the G floor, likely involving computer equipment and an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The fire caused significant damage to equipment in that specific area, with total losses estimated at over 27 million baht.
For residents and visitors, it is important to note that while the G floor sustained heavy damage, the provincial public works department has confirmed that the building's overall structural integrity remains sound. Hospital management has indicated that other areas of the facility continue to operate as usual.
