After three decades of exploration, Chen Jinwei has returned home to China, having visited 233 countries, including an early stop in Thailand.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, 53-year-old Chinese national Chen Jinwei has concluded a monumental 33-year journey across 233 countries. Chen, who began his travels in 1993, spent approximately 50 million baht (10 million yuan) to fulfill his goal of experiencing the world firsthand rather than through books. His global expedition started with visits to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Chen managed his ambitious itinerary by balancing his personal life and his machinery business, alternating between one month at home and one month abroad. Throughout his travels, he encountered various logistical challenges, noting that reaching Antarctica was among his most difficult tasks. Reports indicate that Chen is among a small group of approximately 70 Chinese citizens who have successfully visited all 233 countries.
