Family Seeks Answers Following Death of Soldier in Nakhon Ratchasima
The family of a 20-year-old soldier found deceased in a forest near his military unit in Nakhon Ratchasima is calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances of his death.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, the family of 20-year-old Private Thitikorn, also known as 'Nam,' has collected his remains from Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital to return them to his home province of Ubon Ratchathani. The soldier had been reported missing after losing contact during his leave between September 1 and September 10, 2026. Rescue workers from the Hook 31 foundation later discovered his body hanging from a tree in a forest area in Nong Chabok, located behind the military unit where he was stationed.
While military officials from the 3rd Medical Battalion at Suratham Phithak Camp assisted in transporting the remains, the soldier's parents have expressed significant doubts regarding the cause of death. They are formally requesting a detailed investigation to clarify the facts surrounding the incident. For residents and visitors in the region, this case highlights an ongoing inquiry into a tragic event involving a local military installation.
