Fatal Truck Fire at Rayong Gas Station
A 37-year-old driver died after his truck, carrying a tractor, caught fire while parked at a gas station in Rayong province.
On September 13, 2026, a fatal incident occurred at a gas station along Road 344 (Ban Bueng-Klaeng) in Klaeng District, Rayong. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, local police were notified of a fire involving a six-wheel truck that was transporting a tractor from Phitsanulok to a customer in Rayong.
The driver, identified as 37-year-old Mr. Phonlawat, had parked at the station to rest overnight while waiting for the morning delivery. Gas station staff reported seeing smoke and flames emerging from the vehicle, followed by the sound of shattering glass. Despite efforts by staff and other drivers to extinguish the blaze using fire extinguishers, the driver was found deceased inside the truck's cabin.
