On the morning of September 12, 2026, a tuk-tuk driver identified as 47-year-old Mr. Wichian was found deceased inside his vehicle parked near the Amorn Sasana Buddhist Association in the Sathorn district of Bangkok. According to Khaosod Online, a passerby noticed the driver in an unusual position and, after receiving no response to verbal calls, checked for a pulse and found none. The witness subsequently contacted emergency services.
Police from the Yannawa Station arrived at the scene to investigate. The victim’s brother informed authorities that Mr. Wichian suffered from several underlying health conditions, including tuberculosis, gout, and hypertension. It was also noted that the driver frequently slept in his vehicle due to his living situation and had a history of heavy alcohol consumption.
