NBTC Finalizes 5.4 Billion Baht High-Speed Internet Project
Thailand's broadcasting and telecom regulator has announced the winners of the USO 3 high-speed internet project, valued at over 5.4 billion baht.
On September 11, 2026, the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) finalized the bidding process for the Universal Service Obligation (USO 3) high-speed internet project. According to an announcement by acting secretary-general Trairat Viriyasiriakul, the project, which aims to expand basic telecommunications services across the country, was awarded across five regional groups with a total contract value of 5.42 billion baht.
The bidding was conducted via an electronic system (e-bidding). The first group, covering the Northern region, was awarded to the TI Consortium—comprising True Internet Corporation and INSET—for 1.24 billion baht. The remaining four groups were also finalized, though specific details on the other winning contractors were not fully detailed in the initial report.
