Thai Takraw Association Launches Mentorship Program for Youth
The Takraw Association of Thailand has introduced the 'One Day with National Team Players' program to inspire young athletes ahead of the 2026 Asian Games.
The Takraw Association of Thailand, in partnership with Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, has officially launched the 'CHANG Presents: One Day with National Team Players' initiative. Held at the Takraw Association of Thailand Foundation, this inaugural program provides young athletes from across the country with the opportunity to engage directly with national team members.
According to Khaosod Online, the event was inaugurated by Dr. Sihasak Arerachakaran, Secretary-General of the Takraw Association, and Passakorn Peetrangsee, Senior Manager of ThaiBev’s sports excellence program. The initiative aims to offer youth a firsthand look at the professional journey of national athletes, from their early development to reaching the elite level.
For residents and visitors interested in Thai sports culture, this program highlights the country's strategic focus on nurturing talent as it prepares for the 2026 Asian Games. By facilitating direct mentorship, the association hopes to provide young players with the motivation needed to advance their skills. While the program has successfully commenced, it remains to be seen how frequently these sessions will be held and whether the association plans to expand the initiative to reach more provinces in the future. This event underscores the significant role of corporate-sponsored sports development in Thailand's national athletic strategy.
