Prachuap Khiri Khan Authorities Seize Massive Illegal Goods Shipment
Customs officials and security forces in Prachuap Khiri Khan have intercepted a large-scale shipment of illegal cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and herbal medicines.
On September 12, 2026, authorities in Prachuap Khiri Khan province announced the successful interception of a massive haul of contraband, including foreign cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and herbal medicines. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the operation, dubbed 'Phithak Khiri Khan,' was conducted under the direction of the Customs Department and provincial leadership to strictly enforce laws against illegal goods.
Thitiphong Khamphui, the Prachuap Khiri Khan Customs Chief, coordinated the effort alongside the Excise Department, Border Patrol Police, and the Jong-ang Suek Task Force. The total value of the seized items is reported to be over 25.7 million baht.
For residents and travelers, this operation highlights the ongoing strict enforcement of regulations regarding the importation and possession of tobacco products and e-cigarettes in Thailand.
