Serious Traffic Accident Involving Tuk-Tuk and Cyclist in Samut Prakan

On the evening of September 11, 2026, a serious traffic accident occurred on Bearing Soi 22 in Samrong Nuea, Samut Prakan, involving a motorized tricycle (tuk-tuk) and a bicycle. According to Khaosod Online, emergency services were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9:20 PM.

Upon arrival, responders found two injured individuals. The tuk-tuk driver, identified as 61-year-old Mr. Sutthipon, sustained lacerations to his left arm and a head injury but remained conscious and communicative. He was transported to a hospital after receiving initial first aid. The second victim, an unidentified male cyclist, was found in critical condition and unconscious. Rescue workers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for over 20 minutes; however, no pulse was detected before he was rushed to Samrong Medical Hospital for further emergency care.

The tuk-tuk driver claimed the accident occurred because he was unable to avoid the cyclist, alleging that the bicycle had cut in front of his vehicle.
