Suspect Arrested Following Bank Robbery at Talaad Thai Market
Police have apprehended a 54-year-old man accused of robbing a TMBThanachart Bank branch in Pathum Thani, with authorities currently investigating the whereabouts of over 1 million baht in stolen cash.
According to Khaosod Online Thailand, police have arrested a 54-year-old man, identified as Mr. Saifa, in connection with a robbery at the TMBThanachart Bank branch located at Talaad Thai Market in Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani. The suspect was apprehended at a resort in the Ram Inthra area of Bangkok.
Authorities report that the suspect allegedly stole over 1 million baht from the bank. During the investigation, Mr. Saifa admitted to acting alone and revealed that he had meticulously planned the crime, which included scouting the location for several days. He reportedly used an unregistered vehicle purchased for 30,000 baht to commit the robbery, which he later burned in a wooded area to destroy evidence before switching to a rental car.
