Chachoengsao School Director Reassigned Amid Football Club Dispute
The Secondary Educational Service Area Office in Chachoengsao has temporarily reassigned the director of Phutthirangsi Phibun School following public tensions involving the 'Tangmo United' football club.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Piyarat Suebchuewong, the director of Phutthirangsi Phibun School, has been ordered to transfer to the Secondary Educational Service Area Office of Chachoengsao for a 20-day period, effective from September 11 to September 30, 2026. This administrative action follows a public dispute between the school’s football club, Tangmo United, and the school administration.
Previously, renowned student football coach Sakol Kliangprasert announced his departure from the club, citing internal friction. Although the abbot of Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan had attempted to mediate the conflict, the educational authorities intervened to reassign the director to prevent further impact on the school's reputation and operations.
Tangmo United issued a statement on their Facebook page expressing gratitude to the educational authorities for their prompt intervention, noting that this support allows the club to continue its scheduled competitions. For residents and those interested in local community affairs, this situation highlights the intersection of school management and extracurricular sports programs in Thailand. While the immediate administrative tension appears to be addressed by the temporary reassignment, it remains to be confirmed what long-term changes will be implemented at the school once the 20-day period concludes.
