Hydrological Survey Conducted Across Six Northeastern Provinces
The Department of Water Resources has completed a survey of 20 hydrological stations in Northeast Thailand to improve water management and monitoring.
Between September 7 and 12, 2026, officials from the Department of Water Resources (DWR) Office 4 conducted a comprehensive hydrological survey across six provinces in Northeast Thailand. According to the DWR, the operation covered 20 stations located in Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, and Nong Bua Lamphu.
This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to gather critical data for water resource development planning. For residents and travelers in these regions, the data collected is essential for monitoring water levels and managing potential flood or drought risks. The DWR utilizes these findings to generate daily water situation reports for the Chi River basin, which are shared with relevant agencies and the public to support informed decision-making.
