According to a report by Khaosod Online, Wat Yan Sangwararam Hospital in Chonburi Province has implemented the 'Chonburi Model,' a mental health initiative designed to bridge the gap between clinical treatment and home-based care. Dr. Sudanee Buranabenjasathien, the hospital director, emphasizes that mental health conditions affect not only the individual but also their families and the broader community.

By leveraging the National Health Security Office’s 'Gold Card' scheme, the model coordinates efforts between hospitals, local health promotion centers, and community members. The program aims to prevent patients from dropping out of the treatment system by providing consistent follow-ups and fostering a supportive environment that reduces social stigma.
