Siam Kubota has introduced the SH-K1 sugarcane harvester, designed to increase harvesting efficiency and support the transition to fresh sugarcane production in Thailand.
According to a report by Prachachat Business on September 11, 2026, Siam Kubota has officially launched the 'SH-K1' sugarcane harvester. This new machinery is engineered to process between 15 and 30 tons of sugarcane per hour, covering approximately 12 to 24 rai per day. Over the course of a single season, the equipment is capable of managing over 1,000 rai of land.
The primary objective of this launch is to address labor shortages in the agricultural sector. Siam Kubota claims that the SH-K1 can reduce operational costs by approximately 30% compared to manual labor. Furthermore, the machine is positioned to support the Thai sugar industry's shift toward fresh sugarcane harvesting, which aligns with broader low-carbon agricultural trends.
