Traffic Police Arrest Two Men During Emissions Check
A routine vehicle emissions checkpoint in Thailand led to the arrest of two men found in possession of illegal narcotics.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand published on September 11, 2026, officers from the Traffic Police Division 5 conducted a routine checkpoint aimed at monitoring vehicle air pollution. During the operation, police stopped a pickup truck and observed suspicious behavior from the two male occupants, aged 21 and 41.
Upon searching the vehicle, authorities discovered 1.13 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 80 methamphetamine pills, and drug paraphernalia. The individuals were subsequently taken into custody. The operation was overseen by senior officials, including Police Major General Damrongsak Sawangngam, Commander of the Traffic Police Division.
