Police Hunt Lone Robber Following TMBThanachart Bank Heist in Pathum Thani
Authorities are searching for a suspect who stole over 1.5 million baht from a TMBThanachart bank branch in Pathum Thani before abandoning and burning their getaway vehicle.
On September 10, 2026, a lone gunman robbed the TMBThanachart (ttb) bank branch at Talad Thai in Pathum Thani province, escaping with 1,541,704 baht in cash. According to Khaosod Online, the incident occurred at approximately 4:00 PM, just five minutes before the bank's scheduled closing time. The perpetrator, described as a man approximately 170 centimeters tall wearing a balaclava, red shirt, and gloves, reportedly used a metal bar to secure the entrance before threatening staff with a handgun to access the safe.
Following the robbery, the suspect fled in a Toyota Vios equipped with fake license plates. Police later discovered the vehicle abandoned and set on fire. Provincial Police Region 1 and local investigators are currently conducting a manhunt to apprehend the suspect.
