Fatal Shooting Incident in Nakhon Si Thammarat

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a fatal shooting occurred on September 10, 2026, in the Khao Khao sub-district of Thung Song, Nakhon Si Thammarat. Police were notified of a violent incident at a private residence where they discovered the body of 36-year-old Nattapong. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including two to the head, one to the left ribcage, and one to the thigh, inflicted by a 9mm firearm.
The suspect, identified as 44-year-old Ekkarat, who owns the residence where the incident took place, reportedly fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Local authorities, led by Police Major Polkrit Singsuwan, successfully apprehended the suspect shortly thereafter and recovered the weapon used in the crime. Preliminary investigations suggest that the two men had been drinking together when a disagreement escalated into violence.
For residents and travelers, this incident highlights the risks associated with private disputes involving alcohol and firearms.
