SJWD Announces Plans for New Debenture Issuance

SCG JWD Logistics (SJWD) plans to issue 1.5 billion baht in new debentures and digital debentures by late September to refinance existing debt.

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, SCG JWD Logistics (SJWD), a major logistics and supply chain provider in ASEAN, has announced plans to issue two series of debentures and digital debentures. The total offering is valued at up to 1.5 billion baht, with interest rates set at 2.85% and 2.95% per annum.

Ekpong Tungsrisanguan, Chief Financial Officer of SJWD, stated that the primary objective of this issuance is to reduce the company's financial costs. The proceeds will be used to repay existing debentures maturing this year and to improve internal cash flow management. The company expects this move to significantly lower interest burdens and strengthen its overall profitability.

The offering includes a three-year debenture series maturing in 2029, priced at 1,000 baht per unit with a minimum subscription of 100,000 baht.

For residents and investors in Thailand, this development reflects the company's ongoing efforts to optimize its capital structure. While the issuance is intended to stabilize the company's financial position, potential investors should note that specific details regarding the subscription period and the full terms of the second series remain to be confirmed in the upcoming official release. This financial activity is a corporate matter and does not directly impact logistics services for the general public.
