On September 10, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas announced that the government is reviewing proposals to extend the 'Thai Chuay Thai Plus' stimulus program. Mr. Ekniti noted that the extension is being considered in response to ongoing global energy price volatility, which continues to impact the cost of living for residents. Currently, the program has seen participation from over 26 million citizens, in addition to 13 million state welfare cardholders.
