Wanted Suspect Surrenders at Pattani Religious School
A wanted individual surrendered peacefully to authorities at a religious school in Pattani’s Nong Chik district following negotiations.
On September 10, 2026, special operations units in Pattani successfully apprehended a suspect wanted under an arrest warrant issued on August 21, 2026. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the individual, identified as Mr. Muhammad Hafik, was found hiding within the 'Por-Noh Kayee' religious school in the Nong Chik district.
Authorities acted on a tip-off from a local resident. Prior to the operation, officials coordinated with school administrators, village leaders, and community representatives to ensure the safety of students and residents. Emphasizing peaceful resolution and humanitarian principles, the community leaders facilitated negotiations with the suspect. Mr. Muhammad Hafik ultimately surrendered voluntarily without any confrontation or violence. During the arrest, authorities recovered a firearm and ammunition. The suspect has been taken into custody to face the judicial process.
