Amata BIG Launches Third Air Separation Plant in Chonburi
Amata BIG has officially opened its third air separation facility in the Amata City Chonburi industrial estate to boost industrial gas production and reduce carbon emissions.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Amata BIG Industrial Gas (Amata BIG)—a joint venture between Amata Corporation and Bangkok Industrial Gas (BIG)—has officially commenced operations at its third air separation plant. Located within the Amata City Chonburi industrial estate, the facility is designed to increase the production capacity of industrial gases, specifically nitrogen, to support the growing needs of key industries in Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor.
The new plant boasts a nitrogen production capacity exceeding 27,000 tons per year. Beyond industrial output, the company highlights a significant environmental benefit, stating that the facility is expected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 7,000 tons annually. Chavalit Tipayavannich, CEO of Amata U, noted that this expansion is intended to strengthen the infrastructure supporting targeted industrial sectors in the region.
For residents and those living in the Chonburi area, this development reflects the ongoing industrial expansion of the Eastern Seaboard.
