Muangthong United Faces New FIFA Registration Ban

According to a report by Khaosod Online, Muangthong United has been hit with a fresh ban by FIFA, preventing the club from registering new players. This marks the seventh such case involving the Thai football club, which has faced ongoing challenges regarding outstanding salary payments to players and staff throughout the recent season and the off-season.

While the club had previously resolved five of these cases, the latest sanction stems from a complaint filed by Marko Saric, whose contract was terminated two months ago. Although the Thai League 2 season is already underway, this administrative hurdle complicates the club's ability to manage its roster effectively.

For residents and football enthusiasts in Thailand, this situation highlights the persistent financial instability within certain professional sports organizations. While the club has demonstrated a capacity to settle individual disputes, the recurring nature of these FIFA interventions suggests that internal financial management remains a significant concern.
