Thai celebrity Woonsen Virithipa recently led a charitable initiative to provide essential supplies to the Wat Phai Ngoen community, while also discussing her personal approach to health in her 40s.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, Thai actress and entrepreneur Woonsen Virithipa recently visited the Wat Phai Ngoen community to distribute food and essential supplies to elderly, disabled, and underprivileged residents. Woonsen, who previously helped establish a statue of the Goddess Lakshmi at the temple, stated that she initiated the effort after learning that many community members are struggling with the current economic climate, with some residents lacking access to daily meals.
For residents and visitors, this highlights the ongoing economic challenges faced by some local communities in Bangkok. While the temple remains a site of interest for those following spiritual or 'mu' (sacred) tourism, the report underscores the importance of community-based support systems in these areas.
During the event, held at the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok for a product launch, Woonsen also addressed her personal health journey. Now in her 40s, she expressed concerns regarding hormonal changes associated with menopause, noting that she has become more disciplined in her health and wellness routines. She clarified that while she is known for her spiritual activities related to the Goddess Lakshmi, her involvement is specific to that site.
