Kasetsart University and Department of Corrections Partner to Enhance Prison Healthcare
Kasetsart University and the Department of Corrections have signed an MOU to improve medical services and public health standards for inmates.
On September 9, 2026, Kasetsart University and the Thai Department of Corrections officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at elevating medical and public health services within the prison system. The ceremony, held at Kasetsart University’s Bang Khen campus, was presided over by Privy Councilor General Paiboon Koomchaya, who serves as Vice President of the Rajprachasamasai Foundation under Royal Patronage.
The agreement was signed by Kasetsart University President Assistant Professor Dr. Kongsak Tiangtham and Department of Corrections Director-General Police Lieutenant Colonel Prawut Wongsinin. Key officials from the Ministry of Justice, including Minister Police Lieutenant General Ruttapol Naowarat and Permanent Secretary Piyasiri Wattanavarangkul, were also in attendance.
