Concerns Raised Over ONCB Asset Storage Facility Bidding

During the third day of the House of Representatives' debate on the 2027 fiscal year budget bill, Democrat Party list MP Ratklao Inthawong Suwankiri raised concerns regarding the procurement process for two new asset storage buildings for the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB). Specifically, she highlighted the project for the ONCB Region 4 facility in Khon Kaen, which has a budget of approximately 70.6 million baht.

Ratklao pointed out potential irregularities, noting that the bidding process attracted only a single bidder. Furthermore, the final bid was only 3,000 baht lower than the government's reference price, a margin she suggested warrants further scrutiny. The discussion took place at the Parliament during the second and third readings of the 3.78 trillion baht budget bill.
