Thailand’s BOI Approves 4.8 Billion Baht to Boost High-Skilled Workforce
The Board of Investment (BOI) has approved over 4.8 billion baht in funding to support 108 projects aimed at upgrading Thai entrepreneurs and training 76,000 high-skilled workers.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the Board of Investment (BOI) has greenlit a significant investment package totaling over 4.8 billion baht. The initiative, overseen by a subcommittee chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas, aims to enhance the competitiveness of Thai businesses and address the growing demand for specialized labor in modern industries.
The funding supports 108 projects in total. This includes 55 new initiatives under the 'Business Transformation' and 'Skill Bridge' measures, alongside 53 previously approved projects. The primary goal is to equip 76,000 individuals with high-level skills while assisting local entrepreneurs in adopting advanced technologies, such as AI, automation, and digital systems, to improve operational efficiency.
