On September 9, 2026, Professor Dr. Yotschanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), chaired a meeting to address the long-standing territorial dispute between Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok (Uthen Thawai Campus) and Pathumwan Institute of Technology. According to Khaosod Online, the government has introduced a four-point plan aimed at ending the conflict, which has raised concerns regarding public safety, national image, and educational continuity.
Key measures include a mandatory three-month suspension of the use of the disputed areas.
