According to reports from Khaosod Online, the altercation stemmed from long-standing tensions between Tiwa and 33-year-old monk Thana. Tiwa, who has been ordained for one year, stated he was frustrated by Thana’s frequent criticism over the past two years. Following the disturbance, police detained both individuals and conducted mandatory drug screenings. Both monks tested positive for illicit substances, leading to their immediate defrocking and subsequent legal proceedings.
