Mitsubishi Electric Thailand Hosts 11th Annual Science Classroom for Rayong Students
The Mitsubishi Electric Thailand Foundation and Mitsubishi Electric Thai Auto-Parts have launched their 11th annual 'Science Classroom' initiative at Ban Map Yang Phon School in Rayong.
On September 9, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that the Mitsubishi Electric Thailand Foundation, in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric Thai Auto-Parts, held its 11th annual 'Science Classroom' event at Ban Map Yang Phon School in Rayong province. The initiative aims to foster sustainable community growth by enhancing science education for local youth.
Over 50 sixth-grade students participated in the program, which was supported by the EEC Automation Park. The school was transformed into a temporary laboratory where students engaged in three hands-on activities: a 'Tower Building Mission' to practice engineering design and teamwork, a 'Basic Electrical Circuit' workshop, and a 'Mecanum Wheel Car' control session using LEGO obstacles. These activities were designed to connect scientific principles with engineering and technology.
For residents and visitors, this event highlights ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts in Rayong, a key industrial hub. While the program successfully provided hands-on learning for these students, it remains to be confirmed if the foundation plans to expand this specific curriculum to other schools in the region later this year. The initiative underscores the importance of STEM education in preparing the next generation for Thailand's evolving technological landscape.
