On September 9, 2026, a fatal shooting took place at the Nong Pla Lai Municipality Kindergarten in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. According to Khaosod Online, police from the Bang Lamung station were notified of the incident at approximately 11:00 a.m. The victim, identified as 48-year-old Pailin, also known as 'Teacher Ple,' was found with a gunshot wound to the left temple. Authorities recovered a 9mm shell casing at the scene.
CCTV footage reportedly captured the suspect, identified as Police Sub-Lieutenant Thatsaphong, entering the school premises before the shooting occurred. At the time of the incident, 44 students were present at the school. Fortunately, all children remained physically unharmed, though many were reported to be distressed and crying.
