Diamond Brand Shifts Strategy to Renovation Market Amid Slowing New Housing Demand

Diamond Brand (DRT) is pivoting its business strategy toward home renovation and repair services to offset a decline in the new housing market during the third quarter of 2026.

According to Khaosod Online Thailand, Diamond Brand (DRT) has announced a strategic shift for the third quarter of 2026. CEO Satit Sudbuntad noted that the new housing market is currently experiencing a slowdown, driven by cautious real estate developers and strict mortgage lending criteria from financial institutions.

To compensate for this reduced demand, the company is launching the "Diamond Renovation 360°" service. This initiative focuses on the repair and modernization of residential properties, hotels, and resorts. The company identifies a growing need for home upgrades and repairs following natural disasters, further supported by government initiatives regarding national disaster insurance. The service aims to provide a comprehensive solution, including material selection, professional advice, and installation.

For residents and property owners, this shift suggests increased availability of professional renovation services in the market. While the company aims to maintain revenue levels comparable to the previous year and keep gross profit margins around 25% despite rising energy and raw material costs, the long-term impact of these market conditions remains to be seen. The company plans to showcase these services at the upcoming "Baan Lae Suan Fair Living" event to stimulate sales. It is not yet confirmed how these market adjustments will influence overall construction material pricing for individual consumers in the coming months.
